The Selling family timeline

When it comes to working with someone to grow your business, it's important to know that they have the experience to help you get where you want to go. I'd love to share the ‘highlight reel' of my online business with you. I'll even throw in some life stuff too!

2008 - Started selling on eBay full-time after getting laid off from my job. This was the last time I had a 'real job'.
2009 - Started selling on Amazon to focus on growth and ways to spend less time working on the ecommerce business.
2010 - Had my son Aiden, and spent lots of nights working on Amazon while he was sleeping!
2011 - My husband Cliff quit his management job to join me in selling on Amazon
2012 - We had our first '6-figure' profit year selling on Amazon
2012 - I started my blog about "Selling on Amazon" to teach others how we were able to stay home with our toddler, while making 6-figures a year.
2013 - Released my first eBook ($37) about liquidation sourcing. Earning over $30,000 in the first year, this ebook has gone on to make well over 100k over the years, completely passively!
2014 - Officially launched my signature course "The Amazon Boot Camp" after beta testing in 2013. Making over $200k in its first year live, my eyes were officially opened to the opportunity there was in creating online courses.
2014 - Went on a course creation sprint and released a handful of new courses this year. This brought in over $600k for the year!
2015 - Cliff and I were featured on the Smart Passive Income, and our episode was the most shared episode for the year! This lead to great traffic and name recognition for my Amazon Boot Camp course. Our site income jumped again to over $700k.
2016 - This was my "YES" year! I was creating content, getting featured in many main stream media outlets, I was doing everything I could to keep momentum going! My goal was to have my first 7-figure year and just made it. Bringing in $1,054,919 with my own courses alone.
2017 - Cliff and I paid $630k cash for the house we had been renting the previous 3 years. This was a huge milestone for our family and gave us a huge sense of accomplishment!
2018 - I really wanted to start teaching things outside of Amazon, but didn't really know HOW to branch out. I started a second site that I eventually closed because I didn't have the time to dedicate to it while still teaching Amazon.

2019 - I cut way back this year and focused mostly on passive income. Since the site was in a good spot of being passive, I decided it was time to sell it and try new things...Then 2020 happened!
2020 - The world fell apart...LOL. That's what it felt like. Teaching Amazon became kind of weird for awhile when stores were shut down and the entire business model that I taught was 'sourcing in stores'. Needless to say, the site didn't sell as people weren't exactly looking for businesses in the retail spector that were personally branded.
2021 - After feeling pretty burned out (and sad the site didn't sell), I removed myself from the day-to-day of my Amazon courses. A lot of courses were retired and my signature course went 100% DIY. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out 'what's next' and didn't work much.
2022 - I let the business be almost 100% passive this year while I spent time figuring out what I enjoyed outside of creating content and just doing fun stuff! Since I'd been out of the business for quite some time, I decided to try and sell the business...unsuccessful again 🙁
2023 - Decided to go all in on a blog rebrand and focusing on more topics outside of just 'selling on Amazon'. This is the year to share what I've learned the last 10 years of selling digital products online 🙂 That's where we are now and you get to benefit!
